For Labor Day weekend, David, Kelly and Bentley came to visit.

We had so much fun!!

Friday night, I slipped and fell in the tub when I was being silly!

It really hurt and it gave me a black eye!!

I took Bentley on a spin on my tractor!

Nashville! August 11-13 2011

Daddy had a conference in Nashville at the Opryland hotel so me and Mommy tagged along.

Even Nana came up to watch me and let Mom and Dad do all of their fun night events with the conference.

The hotel was AWESOME. There were fountain, gardens and waterfalls but my favorite thing was these horses!!

On Saturday, me, Mommy and Nana went to downtown Nashville to see the sights.

There was this guy on the street that made me a horse with a balloon!

We had lunch at the Wildhorse saloon and I had a great time.

They had loud country music so I had to play the guitar!

This was a Quality Deer Management Association Conference.

Jeff Foxworthy was the speaker on Saturday night and Mom and Dad got to meet him!

The conference had a 150 acre food plot area where they grew different types of plants so you could choose what you want to feed your deer.

They had tractors too!

This was so fun!

I ran around and checked out all of the plots and tractors!

"Here Daddy! I like this one!!"

They also had skeet shooting. I had to cover my ears because it was so loud!

We had so much fun! Thanks Nana for coming to watch me!

For the 4th of July, we headed to Daytona Beach first to visit Daddy's Grandma Pender.

Grandma Pender is his Dad's Mom.

We ate dinner at Aunt Catfish's.

After Daytona, we ended up at G-ma and Papa's river place.

Memorial Day Weekend 2011!!

My G-ma, Papa and Great-Grandpa Lastinger came up for Memorial Day weekend!

I couldn't wait to show Great-Grandpa all of the cool stuff I have at my house because it was his first time coming to visit!

I showed him the tractors!

I really wasn't in the mood for pictures though...

I am really a good helper around the farm. Working on tires if my favorite.

YAY! I got one!

Daddy challenged G-ma to a game of tether ball. Boy, she really whooped him!! :)

We even threw sticks into the lake so Dixie could swim out and get them.

We took Great-Grandpa to the honey-hole.

After spending all morning outside in the heat, we decided to cool off in the pool!

I always love when G-ma and Papa come to visit and I am so glad that Great-Grandpa Lastinger came to visit. I can't wait until they come back!!

Easter Weekend!

My G-ma and Papa came to visit for Easter!

I got to stay up really late so that I could play with them on Thursday night!

I was so excited they were here!

Friday morning Papa, Daddy and Mommy got up really early to go turkey hunting.

Mommy got one!!!

Papa got one too!!

We had turkey for dinner on Friday night thanks to Papa and Mommy!

Saturday afternoon we went to the river on the boat.

Easter Egg Hunt at School 4/20

Today was my Easter egg hunt at school. My Mommy was able to leave work and come with me!

I was the fastest egg hunter in my class!!

After we found all of the eggs, we went back into our classroom to check out what was in our baskets.

This is my teacher Ms Sara helping my open one of my treats!

There were all kinds of sweet things in my eggs.

I really enjoyed it because I usually don't get to have to many sugary things!

It is very hard for me and all my friends to sit still for a picture but we tried!

The first boat ride of 2011!! April 17

Today was our first boat ride of the year!!

It was such a beautiful day!

My Mommy made a Bologna sandwich and it was so yummy!

The Santee is a beautiful river. There are hardly any house at all.

Vroom Vroom! Daddy let me drive.

I helped Daddy testing out all of the equipment!

We only saw one other boat and I made sure I waved hello!!

No worries! We were sitting still and I was only here for a second!!

Easter Egg Hunt April 16th

On Saturday, we had our Easter Egg Hunt

at our church, Lifepark.

At the last minute, they had to move the hunt into the building because of bad weather.

They had to hide 12,000 eggs in the building and then we had to hunt in shifts.

It really worked out well though!

(Mommy note: I am pretty disappointed with the pictures from the egg hunt but it was CRAZY crowded with kids and eggs! Hayden was VERY excited and was hunting like a maniac!!

I couldn't ever get him to look at me.)

I had to look really hard for some of the eggs. They were everywhere!

I found some extra stuff too...

Daddy helped!

I collected so many eggs that I needed an

extra bag to carry them in!

After all of the hunting the rain had stopped and we had a big cookout on the lawn!

My G-ma and Papa will be here with me for Easter. I can't wait to show them my egg hunting skills!!

Orange and Blue Game April 9th

I got to go to my the Orange and Blue game!!!

This is when the Gators show off all they have been learning in

spring practice so we can get a hint of how the season will be.

It's not a real game but it is the best game because the Gators always win!

YAY! I am finally here!

I liked to clap when the players did something good but I would say "oh no!"

when they didn't make the play!

I really enjoyed my animal cracker snack too!

(It really helped with the attention span...)

We almost made it through the whole game. We wanted to make it to the gift shop before the crowd got out of the game. I think that everyone was surprised how long I lasted! :)

During the halftime show, they unveiled these statues of the 3 Heisman trophy winners. They are Steve Spurrier, Danny Wuerffel, and Tim Tebow. We stopped by on the way out to see them.

Wow! That game really wore me out!

When we got back to Nana and G's, me and G went out and practiced some putting.

Here he is showing me some correct form.

This was a great day but I was sure was tired and ready for a long nap!

I can't wait to go back to the swamp!

Fire Trucks!! April 8th

While we were in Lake City, my G arranged for me to go see the fire trucks!!!

They had a sticker for me and a fireman's hat!!!

They let me drive one of the trucks!!

My Daddy took me fishing for the first time!

I had some really good luck. It wasn't long after we threw out the bait...

there was a tug on the end! It was a fish!!

I reeled the fish in all by myself!!

Daddy was so proud!

Spending a day with GoGo March 25th

My Great-Grandaddy Bray (GoGo) came to visit

several weeks ago.

We had so much fun!

As soon as he got here, I showed my puzzles.

After all of the fun at home, we headed down the the lodge so I could show him all of the animals.

First, we saw the chickens.

I showed him how we collect the eggs!

Next were the cows...

then the pigs...

then the jeep...

and finally in the lodge, I showed him all of the the buck antlers.

They are my favorite!

After all of the fun, me and Gogo took a nap.

Before he left to go home, he read me some books.

I had SUCH a good time with Gogo. I hope he comes back really soon to play!!

My first trip to the zoo! March 19, 2011

Yesterday we went to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia.

I had SO much fun!

Here are the highlights...

The first exhibit was the Brown Bears!

I made sure that everyone around knew they were bears

and even told everyone that bears said "ROAR"!!

Next was the Kangaroo Walk About!

We got to walk right through their area but they were all sleeping.

I was a little confused because I thought they looked a lot like deer!

This is George the Gorilla. He was right up close! He was HUGE!

This is me and Dad coming out of the monkey cave area.

It was very crowded and it didn't smell very good so if was not one of Mom and Dad's favorite areas!

YAY! Elephants! They were "right there"!!

Giraffes are my favorite! There are several stuffed giraffes at my school and church and

they are my favorite to play with!

A TURTLE!!!

GOOO GATORS!! I am starting to get confused on what a Gator is...

A Gator is an animal, a football player, a basketball player and even I am a Gator!

Time for more sunscreen!

O-O-O AH AH AH! That's what the monkeys say!!

SHHH! The lions are sleeping!

I REALLY like the tiger! It was my favorite!

At first he was sleeping but I called him by saying "ROAR" and he woke up!!

Once we saw most of the zoo, we walked over to the botanical gardens.

Daddy had to push me up a big hill!! (There was a free tram but Daddy wanted to walk...I don't think he knew it was uphill until it was too late!!)

While Mommy and Daddy rested, I checked out the map to plan our next move.

The gardens had BEAUTIFUL flowers!

The flowers were so pretty and I got so relaxed, I decided to take a little nap!!

Boy I was tired after such a long day!

Back to the zoo....

Grandma Lastinger February 28, 2011

My Great-Grandma Lastinger passed away on February 28th. She was just a precious woman!

I am so glad that I got to meet her and spend some time with her!!

I will always love and miss you Great-Grandma Lastinger!!!

Sandra Lee (Cazel) Lastinger, 74, passed away, Monday evening, February 28, 2011 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was the daughter of the late Ernest R. & Elizabeth J. Cazel. Born in Illinois, but eventually settled here in Lake City. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who traveling, going to the beach and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her three sons, Kirt Lastinger, Robert Lastinger, & Peter Lastinger.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 54 years, Lavon J. Lastinger; oldest son, Greg Lastinger; and her beloved daughter, Cindy Lee (Buddy) Clayton all of Lake City, FL; sister, Margot Abernathy of Lake City; 10 grandchildren , 18 great grandchildren and several nephews and neices also survive.

Informal memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Lastinger Homestead, 352 NW Breeze Glen, Lake City, FL. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in her memory be made to help fight Breast Cancer through either the Breast Cancer Society at www.breastcancer.org or the Susan G. Komen for the Cure at www.komen.org

I went to Florida to see my family several weeks ago. I got to spend some quality time with my cousin Mea.

We watched some Mickey and some Wonder pets.

I love going to Florida but I sure love to get home and be at my house!!!

Mommy and Daddy went to North Carolina!! February 10, 2011

Mommy and Daddy have not had a chance to get away by themselves since I have been born so Nana and G came up to watch me so they could go away for the weekend!!

When Mom and Dad got home they had presents for me. They visited Cherokee and got me a bow and arrow set, head dress, vest and moccasins!!!

I think Daddy liked my bow just as much as I did!

I missed them but I sure had lots of fun with

Papa Bullard 2/2/11

My Papa Bullard passed away on February 7th.

This is me and Granny and Papa. Granny passed away on June 12th this year also. Papa actually made it to heaven just after their 71st anniversary. They got to celebrate it together in the most wonderful of places! Heaven!

Papa will be missed!!

Mr. Talmadge O. Bullard, 91, a lifelong resident of Columbia County, died late Monday evening, February 7, 2011 in the Haven Hospice of the Suwannee Valley. Mr. Bullard was the son of the late Vade and Lizzie Waldron Bullard. Mr. Bullard worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for several construction companies and the Columbia County Road Department until retiring. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Bullard was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Bullard and by a daughter, Florine Richardson.

Mr. Bullard is survived by three sons, Albert Bullard (Terri), Gene Bullard (Beth) and Ronnie Bullard (Margaret); his daughters, Louise Lewis, Lillian Davis, Patricia Lord (Danny) and Susan Bullard all of Lake City. Sixteen grandchildren, Timmy Richardson, Rick Lewis, Stephanie Hall, Lance Lewis, Donald Davis, Eric Davis, Brooke Thomas, Jamie Tannachion, Dewayne Lord, Scott Lord, Chad Lord, Della Jones, Brad Bullard, Jennifer Hampton, Alex Bullard, and Andrew Bullard. Twenty-one great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Bullard will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 10, 2011 in the Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. James Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery (located on 441 North of Lake City).

Another trip to the Children's Museum 1/21/11

Today I went to the Children's Museum in Charleston!

I had so much fun! Mommy and I met some of our friends for a play date.

I loved the water room. They had boats!

This is Olivia. She liked the boats too!

This was one of my favorite things today. You just dip the brush in the cup with water and then draw something. The only problem is that I prefer to drink the water instead of paint with it!

(Mom was not happy....)

I drank all of the cups of water so back to the boats....

There is also a medieval castle! This is a miniature block version that we can play with.

Steven Foster Lights December 29th

On our last night in Florida, we went to Steven Foster to see their lights.

They were beautiful! We went in this house and they had a man playing music, and

moving little figurines of Steven Foster songs!

It was amazing.

The trees were wrapped so tightly with lights.

There was a bonfire and people playing guitars and singing Christmas songs.

A perfect end to a great trip to Florida.

Great-Grandaddy came to visit! Dec 10-12

Several weeks ago, my Mommy had a class and so my Nana, "G" and Go-go (great-grandaddy Bray)

came to babysit for me.

This is the snowman in my yard! I picked it out.

On Saturday night, we all got dressed and went to look at Christmas lights.

We went to the James Island County Park. They have an amazing light display!

The next day, we took Go-go to Uncle Rudy's in Manning to spend the week. They had a tractor!!

We had such a great time and a great dinner!

On New Year's Eve, we spent the night at home. We had a bonfire and Mom and Dad had some oysters.

I love to be outside.

Dad had the radio playing from his truck and I had to dance a little bit!

I love to help. In fact, I get really mad if they don't let me help!

Dixie was not a fan of the fire so she stayed in the truck...

Until we went for a little walk.

Dad found a lizard.

I put it in my pocket....

and then it bit me!!

It is FINALLY Christmas morning!!!

First, it is tradition to read the Bible story so we read it from the Bible and

then my story book about the birth of Jesus.

Yay! My turn!! I got a Lego table!

and a basketball goal!

Uncle Brad bought me a book and then read it to me!!

After waking up early, opening gifts and eating my Aunt Susan's homemade

Cinnamon rolls, I needed to take a nap. Well after Mom left the room, I decided to reach out of my bed, grab the towel that the vaporizer was on and pulled it to me. I took the top off and started splashing!! I guess they heard all of the noise and came to check on me! I was caught!! :)

For lunch, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's.

On Dec 6th, we walked in the Reindeer Run in Charleston. I was so glad my Daddy came!

We traveled back to Florida for Thanksgiving.

The day before, we went to my Uncle Brad's work for Mom to look for a new phone. I was riding back to Lake City with Nana for a nap when we had a blow out!! It was very scary! Here is a picture of the tire!

On Thanksgiving day, we ate at my Nana's and at my Great-Grandma Lastingers!

Trip to Florida November 4-7

We went to Florida to see my family.

My mom had some baby showers to go to while we were there.

Here is her dental hygiene class from when she was in college.

Whitney and Ashleigh are going to have baby girls!!

We can't wait for Zoe and Adisyn to get here!

Dad and I went over to Grandma and Grandpa's for a cookout. I got to play with my cousins and see my Great-Grandparents. I played SO HARD!

The next morning I got up and played the piano a little and then went to the fair!

On Friday the 29th, my school had a Halloween parade!!

Here comes my class!

Then on Saturday, me and Mom met some of my friends, Gavin and Gage, at the Coastal Carolina Fair.

I had so much fun!

I was so tired, I fell asleep in my spaghetti!

After a quick spaghetti nap, I got in some good play time with my daddy!

Finally it was time for the real event!! TRICK OR TREATING!!

We went back over to Gavin and Gage's to join them for chili and trick or treating.

Gage and I got to ride in the wagon for a little bit!

On Thursday October 7, the Duck Commander came to speak in Lake City, South Carolina!

I didn't much care for it. I liked the singing but the talking was very boring so me

Mommy got to play outside while Daddy sat inside and listened.

The next evening, Mommy shot a 8 point! I was so proud!

I can't wait until I am old enough to go hunting!

Papa's Buck and the Pumpkin Patch 10/1-10/3

Grandma and Grandpa came up for the weekend of October 1-3rd to babysit me because Mommy had to go to Myrtle Beach for a Dental Hygiene Seminar and Daddy had to work.

A trip to the Charleston Children's Museum! Sept 24-27

Nana and G met us at the Children's Museum on Friday morning, Sept 24th.

First up was the tree house and bug room!!

(It was very hard to get good pictures of him...he was moving WAY too fast!)

Then the water room!

I got to drive the pirate ship! The floor was uneven and rocked like we were really on the water!

The pirates caught us and put us in jail!!

On Thursday, August 9, my sweet dog Lily passed away.

She was 11 years old. I have known her my whole life. Shee was a very good dog.

She was kinda like my Mom and Dad's first "baby"!

This is when I first met Lily!

Lily is always on the right side of Dixie! Dixie is Lily's daughter.

Best buddies!

We will miss her a lot but we know that she is resting and not in pain anymore.

Rest in Peace Sweet Lily!
